Patrick Reed Wins The 2018 Masters, Beating Rickie Fowler By A Stroke

Patrick Reed held off a rally from Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, carding a 1-under-par-71 on Sunday to give him his first major win and green jacket at the 2018 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Reed finished the tournament at 15-under-par. Reed, who had been ahead since the second round, led Rory McIlroy by three shots overnight. McIlroy, chasing his first Green Jacket to complete the Grand Slam, faded with a two-over 74, while Reed parred the last to shoot 71 and win on 15 under. Fowler ended second, one ahead of Spieth, who had nine birdies in a 64.  The 27-year old Reed said: “I knew it was going to be tough. Any time trying to close off a golf tournament is really hard but to close off my first major at a place that’s so close to me, being where I went to college, means so much.”

Dierks Bentley Announces “Seven Peaks Music Festival”

Dierks Bentley is about to launch his own music festival. The country star announced the inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival to be held this Labor Day weekend. The event will be taking place in Buena Vista, CO on Aug 31st through September 2nd will feature Bentley, along with additional performance from acts like Miranda Lambert, Brothers Osborne, Elle King, LANCO, Del McCoury, Sam Bush and The Cadillac Three. More acts are still to be announced. Dierks had this to say, “This is a dream come true for me. Keith Urban Reveals More Collaborations For Upcoming ‘Graffiti U’ Album

Keith Urban’s next album is due before the end of the month, and he’s just revealed three more exciting collaborations that will appear on the project. Urban unveiled the track listing for Graffiti U and he turned to social media to reveal the back cover of the album, which contains the full credits. “Female” has already been leaked from the album, and we knew he was collaborating with Julia Michaels on a pop track titled “Coming Home” that’s his current single. In addition to that, Urban is also including collaborations with country newcomer Kassi Ashton, singer-guitarist Lindsay Ell and Shy Carter on Graffiti U.  Urban is working with multi-genre songwriter Carter on a track called “My Wave,” and Ashton is featured on another song titled “Drop Top.” Ell appears on a song titled “Horses.”  Urban’s ninth studio album, Graffiti U is set for release on April 27 and will include 13 new songs.

Junior Hockey Team Bus Crash In Canada Leaves 14 Dead And 15 Injured

Fourteen people died and 15 more were injured in a crash involving a bus carrying a junior hockey team in Saskatchewan, Canada, and a semi truck, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. 29 people, including the bus driver, were on the bus containing the Humboldt Broncos, during the 5 p.m. crash. Some of the people are in critical condition; the driver of the semi-truck was not injured. An initial investigation has revealed that the semi-truck was traveling west on Highway 335 as the team bus was going north on Highway 35. The Humboldt Broncos were on their way to play the Nipawin Hawks in a Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League playoff game. The team has players ages 16 through 21. President Trump tweeted that he had offered his condolences to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Saturday afternoon.

Juelz Santana Is Officially Released From Jail

According to reports, Juelz Santana was released from jail on Friday (April 6) into the custody of his mother in her Englewood, New Jersey home, after posting a $500,000 bond. Santana was in custody since March 12 for allegedly fleeing and leaving a gun and drugs in his luggage at Newark Liberty International Airport.  “I’m just happy to be in God’s graces,” Santana told reporters. “I was praying every day. He came through for me.” Judge Michael A. Hammer ordered the 36-year-old to wear an ankle monitor and be under 24-hour lockdown, and he was ordered to surrender his passport. Assistant U.S. Attorney Desiree Latzer told Hammer that James was a flight risk and should remain in custody.

Laura Ingraham Returning To Fox News After Parkland Tweet Backlash

Fox News Channel host Laura Ingraham is expected back at work Monday. She was on a one-week vacation that served as a cooling-off period. She has faced backlash by advertisers upset over her tweet mocking a Parkland, Florida, school shooting survivor. many companies say they’ll no longer advertise with Ingraham. Ingraham picked up a strong statement of support from her boss. She also got unexpected backing from liberal talk show host Bill Maher late Friday. Ingraham has apologized for a tweet in which she said 17-year-old high school student David Hogg whined about being rejected by some colleges.

Drake released a new star-studded music video starring some of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, less than a day after teasing a new single. His “Nice for What” clip features actresses Olivia Wilde, Emma Roberts, Tiffany Haddish, Michelle Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, Black Panther star Letitia Wright, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Rashida Jones, Bria Vinaite and Issa Rae, models Jourdan Dunn and twins Victoria Lejonhjärta and  Elizabeth Lejonhjärta, singer Syd and ballet star Misty Copeland. In addition, the track samples Lauryn Hill‘s 1998 song “Ex Factor.” Drake had also sampled the singer’s song “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in his 2014 single “Draft Day.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns Home After Successful Heart Surgery

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after successful cardiac surgery. The procedure was put in place by medical interventionists responding to a resurgence of Arnold’s congenital heart defect, which he first received treatment for in 1997. Schwarzenegger had been tweeting from his hospital bed since Thursday, giving his supporters an update on his condition. He also showed gratitude over his bedside care in his latest tweet, saying in part, “I went to sleep expecting to wake up with a small incision and woke up with a big one – but guess what? I woke up, and that’s something to be thankful for. Thank you to the doctors & nurses. And I’m truly filled with gratitude for all of the kind messages.” Schwarzenegger’s spokesman, Daniel Ketchell, confirmed the news of his return, citing he was alive and well. Funny enough, Arnold’s first words upon waking from surgery was a fitting “I’m Back.”

3 Dead, 20 Injured After Van Plows Into Crowd In Germany

Three people are dead and 20 were injured after a van plowed into a group of people in the German city of Münster Saturday. The driver of the van shot himself after the incident and was included in the casualty count. While officials have not announced the van driver’s identity or motive, but multiple German outlets reported that the suspect was a 48-year-old German man named Jens R. One German news agency said the suspect had connections to the right-wing extremist scene, though there is no current indication that the suspect himself was an extremist. German authorities are treating the incident as a deliberate attack.

‘Jersey Shore Family Vacation’ Breaks Record For Most Watched Unscripted Cable Premiere In 6 Years

The premiere of MTV’s Jersey Shore Family Vacation proved to be a huge success for the cable network. The new series became the most watched unscripted cable series premiere in six years. The show’s first two episodes, which were part of a back-to-back two-hour special, averaged a score of 2.96 in the 18-34 demographic—higher than the 2012 season finale. Jersey Shore Family Vacation was also a big hit on social media, with the hashtag #JSFamilyVacation trending for seven hours in the United States on Twitter. The series’ success on social media may have also had to do with it being a global premiere, which was a first for MTV. Jersey Shore Family Vacation followed original housemates Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino for a reunion in Miami; only missing from the reboot of the series is Sammie “Sweetheart” Giancola.
