Home-Invasion Robbery Reported At Rapper French Montana’s California Home

Rapper French Montana was reportedly the victim to a home invasion at his Calabasas residence in California. Law enforcement made their way to the home hours after the armed robbery by at least two individuals. Reports say Montana was at home at the time of the attempted robbery. Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials believe the incident took place at approximately 5 a.m. local time and have obtained surveillance footage from the incident. It remains unclear if anyone was hurt during the invasion or what was taken.An investigation from police is ongoing and any suspects are yet to be. Montana originally purchased the 7,700-square-foot Hidden Hills mansion from Selena Gomez, who had to deal with a stalker episode when she initially moved in during early 2014.

Drake Passes Rihanna For Most Weeks At #1 This Decade With “In My Feelings”

Drake is holding down the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week in a row with his single, “In My Feelings.”  “In My Feelings” has now helped Drake pass Rihanna for the most weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 this decade. The rapper has now clocked in a total of 42 career weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 which has helped him break his tie with Rihanna for the most amount of weeks at the top of the chart this decade. Additionally, Drake beats out Usher for most weeks for the most weeks at number one for a solo male artist in any decade. “In My Feelings” could be one of the biggest singles in his career if it keeps going at the same pace. By the time the song charted atop the Billboard Hot 100 on its second week, it broke the all-time single week U.S. streaming record. Much of the song’s success is due to the viral #DoTheShiggy dance.

Destiny’s Child Singer Michelle Williams Thanks Fans After Seeking Mental Health Treatment

Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams posted a photo on Instagram on Saturday, July 28, thanking fans for their support after she sought treatment for mental health issues. “Thank you ALL sooooooooooooooo much for every message of love and support sent! My family, friends and fiancé have been AWESOME!” the 37-year-old captioned a photo that showed her wearing her engagement ring as she looked into the distance while dressed in a robe. As previously reported, the singer revealed earlier this month that she was seeking professional help for her mental health issues.  The songwriter, who announced her engagement to pastor Chad Johnson in April, has been open about her struggles in the past, revealing that her battle depression began in her early teens.

Lil Wayne’s Performance At Panorama Festival Cancelled Due To Weather Conditions

NY’s Panorama Festival has been plagued with cancellations due to weather. The first night of the New York City festival was cancelled and the Randall’s Island Park grounds evacuated due to severe inclement weather, and on Saturday Lil Wayne, who was scheduled to perform after Cardi B pulled out of the fest, had to cancel his set also. “Due to weather conditions, Lil Wayne’s flight has been delayed and he is unable to perform tonight,” read a message broadcast to fans through the stage’s video screens. “He was looking forward to performing for his NYC fans and plans to come back as soon as possible.”

Rapper Fabolous Rejects Plea Deal In Domestic Violence Case

Brooklyn rapper Fabolous rejected a plea deal in his domestic violence case for allegedly putting hands on the mother of his child, reality TV star Emily B.  The rapper’s lawyer announced that he would take his chances at a possible trial during a hearing on Thursday. A Grand Jury will now decide the fate of the Brooklyn rapper, prosecutors announced during a hearing Thursday in Bergen County Superior Court. Fabolous’ lawyer Brian Nearly asked that the case be withdrawn from plea negotiations, the prosecutor said a Grand Jury would review the case early next month. The Grand Jury will determine if the case will go to trial. Fabolous and Emily B have reconciled since she accused him of knocking her teeth out and threatening her life.

Third XXXTentacion Murder Suspect Arrested

XXXTentacion’s killers will soon be brought to justice as the third suspect has now been taken into police custody. Earlier this month, an indictment formally charged four men with the murder of XXXTentacion. Two of the men, Dedrick Williams and Michael Boatwright are already behind bars and efforts were made to locate the other two suspects, Robert Allen and Trayvon Newsome. Members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Robert Allen Wednesday. Dodge County Sheriffs booked him into the county jail where he awaits to be extradited back to Florida to face his fate. Trayvon Newsome is still at large and authorities have identified him as one of the triggermen.

Wu Tang Clan’s RZA Debuts Trailer For New ‘Cut Throat City’ Film

After his success with The Man With The Iron Fists and Love Beats Rhymes, Wu Tang Clan’s RZA will debut his third screen debut with Cut Throat City.  Written by P.G. Cuscheri, the film follows four friends returning to New Orleans, Louisiana’s Lower 9th Ward, following 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. With few ways to earn a living, the friends team up to plot a casino heist. Appearing in the film are several of Hip Hop’s accomplished actors including Clifford “T.I.” Harris, Demetrius Shipp Jr.(All Eyez On Me), Shamiek Moore, Terrence Howard, Wesley Snipes and more.
