Lil Wayne Drops Release Date And Cover Art For “Dedication 6”

On Wednesday, December 6, Lil Wayne took to Instagram to announce Dedication 6, with DJ Drama, will arrive on Christmas Day. He also shared the red, white and black cover art, which features a caricature of Wayne and delivers the same aesthetic as the previous five Dedication projects.  The duo kicked off the series in 2005 with The Dedication, and it’s been four years since they released the last edition —Dedication 5 — in 2013. There’s still no official release date for Tha Carter V but Wayne claims he can “release it at will.”

Don Q Arrested For Gun And Marijuana Possession

Up and coming Bronx rapper Don Q was arrested last week on weed and gun charges. Police found the contraband after a routine traffic stop, and he’s already been released from jail.  According to reportsQ was arrested last Thursday for felony possession of a .22 caliber Beretta and unlawful possession of a bag of weed. Law enforcement sources tell us cops found the pot in his underwear during a strip search. However his attorney, Stacey Richman, tells us there was no reason for the initial traffic stop, or for cops to search Q and his friends.

Eminem Reveals Star Studded Tracklist for New Album ‘Revival’

Eminem has released the tracklist for his new album “Revival” which will feature stars such as Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran.  Revival will complete a trilogy of albums from Eminem, joining 2009’s “Relapse” and 2010’s “Recovery.”  Revival is also the rapper’s first album since 2013’s “The Marshall Mathers LP 2.”  The new album will be released on December 15th.

Billboard Top 200 Rap & R&B Albums This Week: Jadakiss & Fabolous, Hopsin And Kodak Black Make The Charts

After NY hip-hop artists Jadakiss and Fabolous finally released their long-awaited collaborative project Friday On Elm Street on November 24, the duo find their 12-track album on the Billboard 200 at #10.  Hopsin and Kodak Black also made it onto the Billboard 200 for the week ending November 30th.

Meek Mill Denied Bail After Being Deemed A “Danger” To Philly Community

On Monday, December 4, Meek Mill request to be released on bail was denied by Judge Genece Brinkley. Meek’s bail request was reportedly shut down by the controversial judge because she views him as a “danger” to the community and flight risk. Reports also state that Judge Brinkley suggested Meek may have used a detox capsule to pass his drug test.  Meek’s attorneys have since asked Judge Brinkley to recuse herself from the case, but to no avail.

Nas Allegedly Taking Ex-Wife Kelis To Court Over Visitation Rights With His Son

Rapper Nas is reportedly upset with his unofficial visitation arrangement with ex-wife and singer, Kelis.  Court documents stated that Nas has tried to “work cooperatively with Kelis over the years,” but Kelis only “allows him to exercise his custody with their son when she deems it convenient for her.”  A preliminary plan reportedly put together by Nas and his legal team asks to spend time with their son, Knight Jones, on the first, third and fifth weekend of every month. Knight is the pair’s only son. They divorced after 5 years of marriage in 2010.

LL Cool J Is The First Rapper To Receive A Kennedy Center Honor

LL Cool J is one of hip hop’s most decorated and honored artists, and on Sunday night he received a Kennedy Center Honor. The man born James Todd Smith, became the first rapper to achieve the distinction. Other 2017 honorees included Gloria Estefan, Lionel Richie and Norman Lear.

Kodak Black To Pay Over $4K A Month In Child Support

Kodak Black has agreed to dole out more than $4,000 a month in child support for his toddler son, King Khalid. The child support agreement comes after months of issues between the rapper and King’s mother, Jammiah Broomfield, over payments and custody of their son. According to the specifics of the agreement, the 20-year-old will pay $4,200 a month to Broomfield until 2033.  Kodak will also handle any health insurance costs.

Meek Mill And Roc Nation Hit With Second Wrongful Death Lawsuit For Concert Shooting

Meek Mill, along with Roc Nation, has been hit with another wrongful death lawsuit for a concert shooting at Wallingford, Conn.’s Oakdale Theatre. It’s the second such suit Meek’s faced this year, both stemming from the same shooting. Meek and Roc Nation are being sued by the family of Jaquan Graves, who was shot in the parking lot of the Wallingford concert last December. The lawsuit claims Graves had just left the venue when he was shot. The damages that the Graves estate is looking for haven’t been disclosed.

N.E.R.D Team Up With Future For New Track Titled ‘1000’

N.E.R.D. have shared a new track featuring Future, from their new album ‘No_One Ever Really Dies,’ which will be released on December 15.  N.E.R.D. consists of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley, and they last released an album in 2010 with ‘Nothing.’ Along with Future, Rihanna and Andre 3000, the album will also feature guest appearances from Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, MIA, Gucci Mane and Wale.
